France - Canal du Midi to Hauteford

More photos from Day 10 on the Canal du Midi... Top right is Lake 'Etang de Jouarres'and as you can see by the sign you can fish here. Bottom left is a typical cafe you find at the side of the canal in small towns you pass. You can moor and have a meal or just a coffee or wine. Bottom right is a Cave Cooperative (winery) built in 1849 inside an old fortified estate. You can see the old slits in the walls where they would use their weapons against invaders. It is Jouarres le Vieux and we had one of their Merlots just last night!
